Did you know that the Government is planning to offer homeowners £7,000 grants in a bid to replace gas boilers? This is because they aim to meet their net-zero emission goals by 2050, and to help towards this they’re aiming to stop gas boilers being sold from 2025 according to the International Energy Agency (IEA).
A Clean Heat Grants scheme will help homeowners fund environmentally-friendly alternatives to gas boilers from April 2022. These grants will be available soon so why not begin to think about changing from that old gas boiler to a more renewable source of energy for your home.
Among the viable alternatives being considered are heat pumps, although the cost of switching from a gas boiler. At Radiant Heating Solutions we do supply & install these heat pumps and we also offer many other great bits that can go alongside your heat pump such as Underfloor Heating!

The Government plans to spend £400million removing gas boilers, with Clean Heat grants set to rise from the previously-reported £4,000 to £7,000, according to The Times. That will help to fund around 60,000 heat pumps as Britons are encouraged to switch to greener boilers.
Heat pumps, which cost around £10,000 in comparison to the £1,000 cost of a some gas boilers, are better for the environment because they use a small amount of electricity to transfer heat & remember, this grant aims to be available from April 2022 so why not begin to make plans about getting a Heat pump for your home.
The scheme is just one of several plans Boris Johnson has announced in recent weeks, including plans to ban the sale of new petrol and diesel cars from 2030 and hopes to scrap all gas boilers within four years.
He has committed to achieving ‘net zero’ carbon emissions by 2050 – a target that could cost £1.4trillion.
Families will shoulder much of this expense – up to £400 a year per household – through having to replace their gas boilers and switch to electric cars, among other things. It comes after a new UN climate report painted a bleak picture of the future without immediate action.
